Whether you take your RV for weekend camping trips or it’s your full-time companion, you probably already know that the state of Colorado has some of the best RV parks in the country. From active areas near attractions to laid back and quiet settings, there are a lot of parks to consider. Here is a list we put together of what we consider to be Colorado’s best RV parks, no matter what your style is.

Mountaindale, Colorado Springs

This park is located 17 miles into Colorado Springs, but trust us – it’s worth the extra trek. The park in Mountaindale has some of the most spacious sites in the state. For those of you who like a quiet setting way out in the country, this site is for you.
Wifi and cable are available as well as spacious bathrooms, a corner store with basic essentials, and a large dog park.

Pagosa Springs

Don’t be fooled by the small size of this park. It is one of the best! It is described as intimate, friendly and peaceful. Located just 10 miles south of Pagosa Springs, this clean park comes with full hookups, propane fire pits, good satellite service, free welcome wine, and unlimited popcorn.
You’re more than welcome to join neighbors for free ice cream, morning coffee, or movies at night.

Ridgway State Park

If you want to be active on your vacation, you should highly consider Ridgway State Park. Nearby is the five-mile-long Ridgway State Park Reservoir that offers a great place to go wakeboarding, waterskiing, windsurfing, and boating. There are also volleyball courts, sandy beaches, and 90 picknicking sites.
Ridgway offers full hookups, showers, outdoor grills, shops, and a playground.

Roosevelt National Forest

Looking for the best of both worlds between quiet and active? Look no further. This forest is home to Cache La Poudre River where you can fit in a peaceful afternoon of fly-fishing or an action-packed rafting trip down the rapids. You can also rock climb, mountain bike, and hike.
This park has electrical hookups, Wi-Fi, cable TV, and a seasonal swimming pool.

Ancient Cedars, Mesa Verde

There are 360-degree views of mountains and national forest at Ancient Cedars! Explore the archeological sites located in Mesa Verde including 600 cliff dwellings. Ancient Cedars is also a great park for kids. It offers two playgrounds, 18-hole mini-golf, a fenced dog park, a heated pool, and two brand new hot tubs.
Their sites are pull-through, and they are equipped with full-hookups, fire rings, grills, and picnic tables.
